JOE TERRY

Bio:
Joe Terry steps out of his usual role of Bi-Fi gear-spinner with Sound Is a Moving Thing, an album of brand new songs written and recorded by Terry over the past year. Sound marks a significant improvement over his solo debut The Freshman Mixer. "I was years beyond The Freshman Mixer when it was released. Sound represents the level I'm at now far more closely." The new album, containing an even balance of rock songs, whimsical instrumentals, and a few children's tunes, is certain to appeal to people of any age, from preschooler to great-grandparent. Joe Terry plays shows with a backing band that includes Don Curtis and Devin Frank (The Poison Control Center), Adam Hawkins (Everyone Loves Delaware), and Evelyn Finch (Frankenixon). ?

They exemplify the range of styles on this local treasure -from acoustic to weird to lush. Musical influences range from Moldy Peaches and Album Leaf to Jim O'Rourke. And there's stand-out trumpet playing." -Curtis Neff
